Shredded Chicken Gravy on Mashed Potatoes

A hearty and comforting dish featuring shredded chicken in a creamy, flavorful gravy served over fluffy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

• 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 cups chicken broth
• ½ cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon onion powder
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 4 cups mashed potatoes, prepared

Instructions

1️⃣ Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to form a golden-brown roux.
2️⃣ Gradually whisk in chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3️⃣ Let the gravy simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened, then stir in shredded chicken. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
4️⃣ Serve the shredded chicken gravy over mashed potatoes. Enjoy
