Crockpot Chicken and Gravy is a tender, creamy dish with chicken breasts slow-cooked in a savory gravy, perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
• 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
• 2 packets chicken gravy mix
• 1 can cream of chicken soup
• 1 can water (use the empty soup can for measuring)
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
• 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
1️⃣ Rub the chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
2️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, and 1 can of water until smooth.
3️⃣ Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours until the chicken is tender.
4️⃣ Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker. Shred or cut the chicken into pieces as desired.
5️⃣ Whisk the sour cream into the gravy in the slow cooker until smooth. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
6️⃣ Return the chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the gravy. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, stuffing, or egg noodles.
