Description

A hearty, savory casserole perfect for breakfast or brunch, featuring crispy hashbrowns, breakfast sausage, and a creamy, cheesy sauce.


Ingredients

• 1 lb breakfast sausage
• 1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed
• 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain the fat.
3️⃣ In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chopped onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
4️⃣ Spread the mixture evenly into the greased baking dish.
5️⃣ Drizzle melted butter over the top for a golden finish.
6️⃣ Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
7️⃣ Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
