Bacon Tortellini Alfredo

  • Author: Stacy FIECHTER

Description

Bacon Tortellini Alfredo combines tender cheese tortellini with a rich, creamy sauce and crispy bacon for an indulgent meal that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

• 2 (9-ounce) packages refrigerated cheese tortellini
• 6 strips bacon, cut into small pieces
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup chicken broth
• 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
• 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1️⃣ Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the tortellini once the bacon is done.
2️⃣ Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
3️⃣ Drain most of the bacon fat, leaving about 1 tbsp. Stir in minced garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, and softened cream cheese. Cook over medium heat, stirring until smooth, about 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Stir in Parmesan cheese and cooked bacon. Toss with the drained tortellini, thinning the sauce with reserved pasta water if needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
