Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for crust)
  • 56 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter, diced
  • 1 egg white, for brushing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, white sugar, melted butter, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Press into a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Toss apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour.
